Community Events

From representing Denny’s at sponsored fundraisers, to enjoying a baseball game with friends and family, team members have access to many community events in the Greenville/Spartanburg area throughout the year.

Volunteer Hours

We are committed to giving back to our surrounding community. Our team members receive three paid volunteer days to spend with the nonprofit of their choice. In addition, we sponsor an employee Habitat for Humanity Work Day and participate in an annual United Way Campaign where employees spend time volunteering at schools, home construction sites, playgrounds, and more.

Discount Programs

We offer employees discounts on major phone carriers, movie tickets, dry cleaning services, hotels, car rentals, travel, and theme park tickets.

Free Parking

With our home office in the city of Spartanburg, we pay for employees to park right beside the building in the parking garage. Our underground tunnel to the tower is especially helpful on cold and rainy days!

On Site Restaurant

Enjoy on site access and discounts to The Den, our fast casual concept that offers a classic twist to traditional diner items. Free access to the Coke Freestyle machine is a personal favorite of many in the building! We also offer employee discount cards to participating Denny’s across the country, and discounts at City Range in Greenville and Spartanburg.

Business Casual Dress Code

Enjoy a business casual dress code Monday through Friday that includes jeans.


Despite financial challenges facing the healthcare industry, Denny’s is committed to providing affordable, quality benefits. Denny’s offers a traditional PPO medical plan, high deductible plans, FSA, HSA, Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life insurance.

Gym Membership

We value the health and wellness of our team members! Home Office team members receive free memberships that includes immediate family members to the local, newly renovated YMCA. Discounted gym memberships are also offered to team members who live outside of Spartanburg.


We understand the importance of saving for life after Denny’s. The company matches dollar for dollar for amounts that you contribute to your 401(k) plan up to 3%, plus 50% of the next 2%. Receive the full company match of 4% when you contribute 5%.

Adoption Benefits

We understand that our employees build their families in different ways. We are proud to support parents by providing adoption assistance. Denny’s provides up to $6,000 per adoption, and an additional $2,000 for special needs children.

Mother’s Room

Nursing mothers have access to a private nursing room during work hours.

Vacation Days

Our team members earn paid vacation days according to their length of service.

Excused Absence Days

Each year, our hourly team members receive four paid excused absence days to use as needed.


Enjoy 11 paid holidays including one to two floating holidays per year to use when you need a day off.

Our home office held a book drive to benefit students at Meeting Street Academy, the elementary school across the street from our building. Thanks to the generosity of our team members, we presented 1,450 books to a group of very excited students who will have the opportunity to enjoy reading them at home.

We kicked off our 2017 No Kid Hungry Campaign with an event in our lobby featuring caricature drawings, a photo booth, and an orange themed menu in our employee restaurant.

We celebrated the end of summer with a celebration in our courtyard including a corn hole tournament, ice cream truck, live dj, and photo booth.

Volunteers from our home office participated in career chats with fifth graders at a local elementary school. Participants shared a little about themselves and their career to encourage and inspire children to strive to be the best that they can be!

The Human Resources Team celebrated Halloween by volunteering at The Meyer Center, a place where children with special needs receive quality education and therapy. The “Denny’s Pumpkin Patch” handed out candy to the children and their families, and wrapped hostess gifts for an upcoming fundraiser.

Each year, our home office partners with Habitat for Humanity to sponsor a work day for employees. Team members spend the day building homes for low­ income families.

Breakfast and lunch is served in the lobby of our home office. The Den provides a fast casual café experience with nontraditional menu items and décor. The space is also home to our test kitchen where team members are often involved in tasting new menu items.

As part of our annual United Way Campaign, team members have an opportunity to attend volunteer events. We sponsored a Born Learning Trail to provide a community resource for early education.

During the holidays, team members enjoy company­wide events to celebrate the season. Last year, a band led the group through music exercises to share the importance of communication and harmony in the workplace.

As part of our annual United Way Campaign, team members participated in a poverty simulation experience to understand what it might be like to live in a typical low­income family trying to survive from month to month. Participants assumed the roles of different families facing poverty.

Team members organized a food drive to stock the shelves of a local mobile food pantry. Within a week, almost 700 items were collected to help feed the Spartanburg community.
